Appearance (Height, weight, distinguishing features, overall) : Has light-blond hair, with piercing blue eyes. He usually wears fairly formal clothing, except for the rare occasion where he is called to battle by his peers. Skjoldr is of average height for an elf, at around 6 ft 3. He keeps a mysterious book with him at all times, however the contents of this book is unknown due to the fact that it is written in a language known to very few. He is not the most muscular of figures, but he is a good strategist. Skjoldr is somewhat pale, with many features typical of those who grew up in the barren lands of a far-off tundra.

About Me (Bio and Background (Should be at least TWO paragraphs)) :

Skjoldr Eriksson was born on an island, with deep history rooted in Nordic culture and customs. The island is located a distance off the northeastern cost of Betelgeuse. His family was somewhat wealthy, with a functioning farm and livestock, which they sold to a select group of individuals in the town square every Saturday at dawn, for market day, which would occur when the majority of the townspeople finally awoke to purchase their food for the week. Skjoldr was a keen negotiator and often managed to sell his goods for almost double their worth. His father, Erik Stenkilsson, had two other children, with Skjoldr being the youngest of the three. Being the youngest meant that he would receive little inheritance when his father eventually passed, hence, Skjoldr realized that he had to continue his life somewhere else.

Skjoldr had heard the tales; he'd heard the stories of Betelgeuse. However, the elven race of Betelgeuse was of particular interest to him. He wondered what their manner would be, how they spoke, how they walked, and their attack on the humans. The prospect of going to this new land fascinated him, and he wished to travel there to start life anew. Thus, on his 19th birthday, he went to the Docks and asked for the next ship into Betelgeuse. Luckily, the Dockmaster told him that a boat would be coming in the next day. Skjoldr, who had already said his heartfelt goodbyes to his beloved family, stayed the night in a nearby inn, knowing that it may well be his very last night at home. The next day, at dawn, the ship arrived, where there was no passenger seats left. Skjoldr, however, being a seaman, offered to help with the work on deck with the ship, and hence he rode in the ship towards Betelgeuse, with the wind waving in his hair, saying his final farewell to his homeland as he begun his journey into the unknown.

Strengths:

Skjoldr Eriksson prefers to spend most of his time indoors, and as such, he is always in search of information. In his old lands, his family possessed a great library, where he often read about faraway lands and their philosophies of life. He can also harness and use magic to his will, as a result of years of studying the subject. Skjoldr is fluent in common (human) speak, the elvish language, and at least three Nordic languages, having come from places strongly influenced by the Nords that settled there and established civilization. He is also a skilled archer, having used his bow to catch animals to sell. Furthermore, due to the climate he grew up in, he is used to snow and low temperatures, and can survive and thrive in these areas.

Weaknesses:

Skjoldr is scared of caves, darkness, and is mildly claustrophobic; hence he attempts to refrain from journeying into their depths unless absolutely necessary. He is also not a strong swordsman or close-combatant, although he can handle a sword. He has a fear of spiders and cave spiders, due to their jumpy nature which makes attempting to kill them with a bow immensely difficult.

Day 1 - A Recount:

Following Skjoldr's entrance into the land of Betelgeuse, a hunter by the name of Oak Tarkinson met him in the neutral desert town. Oak invited Skjoldr to join him in the elven city of Miendienl; not knowing any better, Skjoldr accepted this offer.

The King of the Elves, Sight Foreson, made Skjoldr a home inside the same tree that Oak resided in. After this, Sight showed Skjoldr some basic uses of alchemy. Skjoldr and Oak decided that they would share their tree, as Skjoldr begun to hollow out the tree as a home for them both. Skjoldr also begins to suspect that Sight is a werewolf...

Day 2:

Skjoldr meets many people at Miendienl; Z'greel Joz'Ly (they only had a brief conversation), Xander Shale (Skjoldr and Xander get on well), Ireth Iglorion (who Skjoldr spotted wandering around Miendienl), and Umazen Cysero. Skjoldr goes with Umazen on a tour around The Academy, a place that he is building. Meanwhile, Oak Tarkinson prepares for his long-awaited battle with a vampire...

Day 3:

Skjoldr follows Oak to the Legarian border, where he begins to fight a man named Isaac. During this battle, Skjoldr meets Luna, who has very strong opinions about the Miend. The battle ends with Oak and Isaac both unconscious, so Skjoldr and Ireth help Oak back to Miendienl, with Ireth casting a spell to carry Oak there. Once at the city, Oak is brought to Umazen, who restores him to health. Skjoldr begins to question whether Oak is a werewolf, following his comments about "I'll go back at full moon," among other strange occurrences.

Day 4:

Oak is up and about again, and Skjoldr travels to Legaria to check on Isaac, Oak's opponent, who seems to have recovered thanks to Luna. Skjoldr meets Lorenzo il Dante, who warns Skjoldr and Ireth of the dangers of travelling to Legaria. Ireth is somewhat confused at this, as she was neither Miend nor Legarian at the time. Skjoldr stays around the neutral desert town with Ireth, before meeting a man named Jonathan, who is the Vizier of Legaria. He tells them of the history of the war, and the elven attack on the humans. Skjoldr is very unhappy at the Miend's aggression, and doesn't like their views on the war.

At nightfall, when returning to Miendienl, Oak Tarkinson knocks on his door to his tree. Skjoldr responds that he's busy, and begins gathering materials for his next journey to Legaria. Oak waits for Skjoldr...

Day 5:

When Skjoldr eventually leaves his tree, he learns that Oak was spying on him, and was listening in on his conversation with Jonathan. Oak approaches Skjoldr at sword point, and interrogates Skjoldr for his disloyalty to his town. Skjoldr flees for his life, and arrives in Legaria as a refugee. There, he finds Ireth, and after explaining his situation, she encounters Oak about his behaviour. Nonetheless, Skjoldr becomes a citizen of Legaria, and speaks with Luna about this. She tells him of her father being killed by the Miend, hence her aggression towards them. Skjoldr understands, and begins to settle in.

Day 6:

Skjoldr speaks to Xander, who is pleased with his decision to move to Legaria. Skjoldr starts to make his new home, on the top tier for residential purposes. He also sees Oak Tarkinson roaming Legaria, to which Oak briefly confronts Xander. Xander also informs Skjoldr that Oak is a werewolf.

Skjoldr has posted some mail for Ireth to read at her Legarian home, concerning the construction of a Legarian Library (that will hopefully connect to the existing Alchemy lab). He is awaiting her reply...

After hearing of the death of Ireth and the blinding of Xander, Skjoldr strongly dislikes werewolves. While hunting at the tops of the trees in Miendienl, he was attacked. Later, when he was healed, he was told it was a creeper attack. However, Skjoldr thinks that his healers are keeping something from him, as he has bandages and cuts on his legs.

After seeing Isaac nearly get killed at the hand of Sight, Skjoldr is even more determined to extinguish Betelgeuse of the influx of werewolves. Isaac has told him that silver and fire are the two most powerful tools to kill a werewolf. The hunting continues...

Skjoldr has been killed by Xander Shale.
