The Editting of the Continent

Recently (as in this morning from 6am-12pm EST) I changed the entire map from being a multitude of shitty islands, to being a massive continent. This includes about 12 chunks extra past the continent made completely of ocean. It is not advised to go onto lands in the ocean just yet, as we are working out ideas and terraforming to create new play areas for exploration! (And possibly side-quests!)

Do you guys have plans for putting characters past homes in the map sometime? It'd be interesting to see where that'd go.

Yes, I haven't thought it through but It'd probably be quite time consuming, but regardless, I think the idea would be interesting.

It would be interesting, but it wouldn't server much practical purpose. At best they're used ICly maybe once or twice and then forgotten about. At worst, people decide they want to live in their homelands and it defeats the purpose of us having the two cities.

So its a possibility. We may decide to make more continents one day, but at the moment it isn't likely.

What would you think about an Artelian outpost/fortress on an island in the middle of the ocean? Xander wouldn't want to go back, but it could act as a military academy

If you want me to be perfectly honest, I say: Leave them alone.

Little Archipelagos are not only picturesque, but also discourages other running away.

Saying that though, I really want to see Sight use Ultima Arbore when the new sky height is set >.>

That, right there, will be one MASSSSSSSSIVE tree.

Understandable. I wouldn't expect anyone to want to LIVE there, so rules should be in place stating "Thou shalt not live in another continent". However, perhaps they could be used for plot events, rather than creating new places for the sake of the plot, players homelands could be introduced into the plot line.

It wouldn't play the "screw Betelgeuse, I'm off to ____". It would be more of an eventful thing.

and Nek, you're only saying that because Betelgeuse IS your homeland! Mad

Damn Straight! But at the moment, the server plotline is in it's infancy, we don't want to do anything that big just yet.
